Twelfth Night (Folger Shakespeare Library) by William Shakespeare

Twelfth Night is William Shakespeare's romantic comedy of love, disguise and mistaken identity, presented in the Folger Shakespeare Library edition edited by Barbara A. Mowat and Paul Werstine. Shipwrecked on the coast of Illyria, Viola disguises herself as a young man and enters the service of Duke Orsino, believing her twin brother Sebastian has drowned.

Orsino sends her to woo the Countess Olivia on his behalf, only for Olivia to fall for the messenger, while Malvolio, her self-important steward, and Sir Andrew Aguecheek pursue their own hopes. Alongside the text, this edition provides background on Shakespeare, the Elizabethan theatre and the play itself, making it ideal for students and general readers alike.
