CHARGING THE DEVICE
IMPORTANT! Only use the adapter supplied with the device.
1. Insert the plug into the device and connect the adapter. To do this, make sure that the trimmer is in the OFF position. Before using the device for the first time, charge it for 16 hours.
2. Make sure that the charging indicator light is on.
3. A full charge allows the cordless trimmer to be used for 60 minutes.
4. After the initial 16-hour charge, the charging time is 8 hours.
Your BaBylissMEN beard trimmer is equipped with NiMH batteries.
Before using the appliance for the first time, ensure that it is fully charged for 16 hours without interruption. This initial full charge ensures optimum performance, ensuring quick and easy trimming every time. The maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 complete charge and discharge cycles.

MAINS OPERATION
- Ensure the appliance is switched off.
- Insert the adapter into the base of the appliance and plug it into a suitable power outlet.
- The red LED indicator will light up once the adapter is correctly inserted into the appliance and plugged into the mains.
- The appliance is now ready for use.
NOTE: The appliance should not be used for more than 20 minutes continuously when plugged into the mains.

CORDLESS OPERATION
- Insert the adapter into the base of the appliance and plug it into a suitable power outlet. Switch on the appliance. The red LED indicator will light up once the adapter is correctly inserted into the appliance and plugged into the mains.
- Once the appliance is fully charged, unplug the adapter from the power outlet and the appliance. Then prepare the appliance for use.

PREPARATION BEFORE USE
- Always check the appliance for any visible signs of damage before use. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- Ensure that the blades are free of hair and debris.
- Ensure that the appliance is sufficiently charged.
- Only use the trimmer on a clean, dry and completely detangled beard.

CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The adjustment wheel allows you to adjust the cutting guide to change the cutting height of your trimmer. Experiment a little to find your ideal height. Be aware, however, that a height of 1 mm will produce a very short three-day beard, while a height of 12 mm will give you a longer and thicker beard.
- Select a cutting height (1 to 12 mm) using the wheel on the front of the trimmer.
- Turn the wheel clockwise to increase the cutting height.
- Turn it anti-clockwise to decrease the cutting height.
- Once you have selected the desired cutting height, the guide is automatically locked, for a guaranteed even result.
- Turn on the trimmer by sliding the power button upwards. The blades will start moving, and you can start trimming.

USING THE TRIMMER WITHOUT A CUTTING GUIDE
- The trimmer can also be used to outline the outline of the beard.
- To remove the cutting guide, place a finger on either side of the wheel and gently pull to unlock the guide.
- Pull the guide upwards to remove it from the clipper.

INSTALLING THE CUTTING GUIDE ON THE CLIPPER
- Slide the cutting head under the rear tab of the guide.
- The guide should rest on the head.
- Lock the guide by gently pressing the wheel against the clipper.
- A click should confirm that the guide is securely in place.
